  • Philadelphia Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, D.D. to Deliver èßäÊÓƵapp’s 2024 Commencement Address

    The Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, èßäÊÓƵapp President, announced that Philadelphia Archbishop the Most Revered Nelson J. Pérez, D.D., will address the Class of 2024 as the University’s commencement speaker. Archbishop Pérez will also receive the degree of Doctor of Sacred Letters, honoris causa.

  • Vincent Lloyd, PhD, Named 2024 Guggenheim Fellowship Recipient

    Vincent Lloyd, PhD, a professor of Theology and Religious Studies and Director of the Center for Political Theology at èßäÊÓƵapp, has been named a 2024 Guggenheim Fellow. Chosen through a rigorous application and peer review process from a pool of almost 3,000 applicants, Dr. Lloyd is one of 188 fellows selected for this prestigious fellowship based on “career achievement and exceptional promise.”

  • Four New èßäÊÓƵapp Student Produced Social Justice Documentaries to Premiere in April and May

    èßäÊÓƵapp’s Social Justice Documentary filmmaking course is known for producing documentaries that shed light on important narratives; many of the films receive local and national recognition. In spring 2024, two student production companies will premiere a total of four new documentaries featuring powerful stories of cultural preservation, community, education and empowerment.

  • èßäÊÓƵapp Juniors Named 2024 Goldwater Scholars

    èßäÊÓƵapp students Lauren Arnold and Hailey Bierling, juniors in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, have been named 2024 Goldwater Scholars by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. Arnold and Bierling were selected from more than 1,300 institution-nominated students nationwide and will receive scholarships to further their research in STEM fields.
